The Monkey with The Jungle Book is a work inspired by the literary works of Rudyard Kipling and the Russian fabulist Ivan Krylov. Both the monkey and the pages of the book are made оf mammoth ivory, while the book’s cover is formed of ebony, its title encrusted upon it in gold. The glasses held by the monkey combine mammoth ivory, gold, and amber.
