Mouse with a golden die is a very small piece, made of mammoth ivory. The texture of the rodent’s fur is emphasized using the techniques of burning and toning, giving this sculpture a warm, golden hue. The die which the mouse holds in its paws is made of gold and encrusted with diamonds.
